@lxoliva there are no #copyleft weaknesses as such. There weren't in #GPLv2 when GPLv3 was drafted. Am using copyleft in strict sense.

@bkuhn But the license comes from the copyright holders, not necessarily from the immediate distributor. See #GPLv2 section 6.

@bkuhn BTW it is interesting to note that #GPLv3 explicitly authorizes proprietary relicensing, unlike #GPLv2.

@laforge,That's where it breaks down. They can't be compliant w/ !GPLv2 §4 until the © holder gives them a new license. It's why v3§8 exists
